+How much does ski rental cost in Les Gets?
Expect roughly €15–25 per day for an adult beginner pack (skis, boots, poles) and €25–40 per day for premium or freeride gear. Kids' packs usually start around €10 per day, and 6-day packs bring the daily price down significantly.
+Should I book my skis online before arriving?
Yes — during school holidays the village fills up fast. Booking ahead guarantees your sizes, usually saves 10–20% versus walk-in prices, and lets you pick up your gear the evening before your first ski day.
+Where should I pick my rental shop?
Les Gets is compact: most shops sit along Rue du Centre or at the Front de Neige, steps from the Chavannes gondola. Pick a shop close to your accommodation or to the lift you'll use every morning — our map shows exactly where each one is.
+Can I rent a snowboard or touring gear too?
Almost every shop in the ranking rents snowboards and boots. Several also carry ski-touring setups, snowshoes and sledges — check the shop's page and call ahead for specialist gear.
+What about helmets and insurance?
Helmets rent for a few euros a day (free for kids in many shops), and breakage/theft insurance is usually offered at checkout for €2–3 per day. Both are worth it.
